The ten year odyssey of the tigers Trombone Shout Band is now complete. With the third part of the Tiger Trilogy titled "Shout and Testify" brings the series full circle. This CD was recorded 10 years ago, when the Tigers were led by Tim Brown, with brother Junior (Horace Brown, JR.) attending to baritone horn and future bandleader Ken Carr playing drums and T-bone, depending on what was needed.
These recordings are as live as it gets, from the sweating preachers to the jubilant, pulse-pounding horns to the delirious audience, who are as integral to the music as the shout band's t-bones and driving rhythms. As live recordings go, this one brings you into the midst of what shout music is about.
